The first movie am going to talk about is WICKER PARK because its fresh in my mind.I am guilty of watching movies long after they release sort of like clearing the backlog in effect making it larger.
Well anyway, do bare with me.
To start of I have respect for Josh Hartnett, since ‘lucky number slevin’ and the way the movie started of i didn’t expect too much from it,the lines were cliched and the characters not properly built.I didn’t understand how he turned his life round from a repair guy to handling ‘deals’ from china.
Enter Rose Byrne, things start to change, i understand the plot, i understand the complication, a youngster loosing grip, basking in the awe of a friend she longed to live a life like. The wide eyes and the half open mouth she did everything to keep her close until she realized she needed to push her away.
I understand how she lies and the the pain and sadness of it grip her. Then is see the brilliance in direction, how all this is kept from the audience right to the very end.
U get a freakish dump of events and you cant help feeling bad for having been so quick to judge her intensions. All she wanted was love. She tried and failed and in her words “I’m the one who has to live with this not you”
great piece of cinema, very neatly portrayed and executed: some patience is advised:
until next time,
thats all folks
